Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, or simply Medina, is the second holiest city in Islam after Makkah. It is located in the Hejaz region of western Saudi Arabia. The city is home to the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi), which contains the tomb of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Medina has deep Islamic historical significance and is an important religious and cultural center.
